| MESCO Steel has its own iron ore mine at Barbil. It has also been allotted
iron ore deposit at Malangtoli which is spread over 1596 hectares. This mine contains
huge reserves of Iron ore with a Ferum content of over 65%. These ores will be
supplied to MISL as well as to MKSL in the Dubri region of Orissa - the steel
hub of India. |

| MISL has a crushing and screening plant at Roida. It is ramping up its
iron ore processing by installing two more crushing and screening plants to achieve
a capacity of 5.0 mt/y. It is operating 100 TPH and 200 TPH crushing & screening
plant. In addition private crushers are being utilized. |

| During the course of mining a large amount of lean quality iron ore is left as
fines and over burden. MESCO Steel has decided to set up a beneficiation plant to
iron fines and a palletising plant to make the fines usable for DRI and blast
furnace input. |
