As a part diversification, Mesco steel went to Madhya Pradesh in search of limestone and dolomite required for Mesco Steel our integrated steel plant. We have been allotted 981 ha of lime stone/ dolomite in Katni. In addition, we have also been allotted best quality of lime stone mines in Rewa district covering an area of 1,660 ha.
We have also been allotted Coking Coal Block namely Tandsi III and Tandsi III extension. It has area of 326 ha and has proven reserves of 17.39 million tonnes upto 310 meters and 50 million upto 1 km which is being allowed of medium and non coking coal in Dindori, Balaghat and Chindwara.
We have also invested in JMB Enterprises located in Indonesia for Thermal Coal.
We prospecting licenses for Manganese and bauxite ores are under issue.
Keeping in view the above mines allotted to us, we are setting up following units
- Dolomite, slabs of granite & marbles and pebbles manufacturing plant at Katni
- Cement plant of capacity 2.0 MTPA at Rewa
- Coal washery of capacity 0.8 MTPA at Damua, Chhindwara
- Power plant of capacity 510 MW
- Ferro manganese of capacity 0.5 MTPA.
- Alumina/ aluminium plant of capacity 1.0/ 0.5 MTP
